Hi+Bye Kit

Say "Aloha" to Your Account

Goodbye, old bank. Hello, Park Bank. Switching banks and bank accounts can be tricky without the right tools to smooth your move. Luckily, helping you out is what we're all about. So call us -- anytime, anywhere, for anything. And please use this simple checklist and the handy forms provided to make your financial transition frustration-free.

Before closing your old account:

  • Balance your checkbook. A clean break will save you headaches later.
  • Make sure every last check has cleared. You may even want to keep a little money in your old account while making the move to Park Bank, just in case.
  • Update your direct deposit information, and keep your old account open until your regular deposits show up at Park Bank. This form will help you make the move: Switch--Direct Deposit
  • Cancel any automatic payments made from your old account. Park Bank's free OnLine BillPay service will make the switch easier.
  • Contact those businesses authorized to make automatic withdrawals from your old account and give them your new digits. Use this form to make the change: Switch--Withdrawal

When closing your old account:

  • Put it in writing. Close your account with a letter instead of a phone call, and be sure to include your address and phone number -- especially if you're changing neighborhoods as well as banks. This helpful form will help you spread the word: Switch--Close Account
  • Keep a copy of your letter -- and any closing confirmation from your old bank -- in your own financial records. You don't want your heirs searching for long-lost (and long-gone) cash later.
